advice on trippin'
just got back from a trip to the pacific northwest with alex, what an amazing part of the country we got to visit. our friends chris + shelby got married on san juan island, a beautiful spot a couple hours north of seattle. after the wedding we drove down to the oregon coast, then over to portland for a night to hang with more buds. got some new recipes in the works that i can't wait to share but in the meantime here are some travel tips. :)
seattle highlights
right off the plane our friend chris led us to marination, it's a pretty short drive from seatac and perfect for lunch. i liked the fish tacos there and the green tea/passion fruit shaved ice.
i heart whales and the whale wins got my attention, the interior is really pretty and everything on their menu sounds so tasty, also it is right next to evo.
check out fremont brewery for beers and a good scene.
if you feel like playing the tourist, the view from the seattle great wheel was worth the 13 bucks.
walk around capitol hill and hit up oddfellows for lunch and good people watching.
don't miss browsing totokaelo, one of the nicest shops i've been to.
chill by lake in green lake park.
i'm still missing the croissants from coyles. i loved how you can order fresh jam on the side, when we visited they had gooseberry jam.
for a killer view of the seattle skyline + mt. ranier at sunset hit up kerry park.
cyk,
